History

Victorian intrastate rail services to the station ended on 21 August 1993 with the withdrawal of the V/Line Dimboola service. People are bidding to have V/Line rail services back to Horsham even though there are buses. Until 2004 when the Ararat station reopened Ballarat was Horsham's nearest station.[1]

In April 2007 the station was upgraded and provided with the new Viclink style signage, at a total cost of $490,000.[2]

However only a small section of the platform was resurfaced which has resulted in passengers having to move up or down the train to access the platform.

Services

Great Southern Railway's The Overland stops at the station three times per week each way between Melbourne and Adelaide, and V/Line operates road coach services to and from the station.
